Landlord Trader was founded in June 2004 by experienced landlords and industry insiders out of frustration at the inefficiency of the residential property investment market. The aim was to overcome the needless high transaction costs of buying and selling property (particularly tenanted property), satisfy the dearth of information aggregators for landlords, and improve market efficiency.
With the tenanted property market having seen a significant amount of fraudulent activity taking place casting a shadow over the investment market, Landlord Trader wanted to create a site which would rely on fellow landlords' honesty and integrity to trade with each other transparently, without hidden costs, and to be an information portal for the landlord community.
